Wednesday, 26 February 2020 – The Institute of Economic Affairs in partnership with Youth Economic Dialogues held a half day public forum dubbed “on Business opportunities in the BIG 4: Agribusiness, Agro-processing and Agro-innovation”. The event was held at the Intercontinental Hotel, Nairobi.
The session was moderated by Mr. Kwame Owino, Chief Executive Officer at the Institute of Economic Affairs. The panelists included; Hon. Francis Nyammo, Founder of Nallah Farms; Mr. Odipo Gerphas, CEO at Judera Group; Mr. Wachira Kaguongo, CEO at National Potato Council; and Ms. Sharon Chebet, CEO at Fresh Pro Farm Limited.
“If you are out there and you are planning to venture into farming, the secret is doing proper research as this would enable you to find out what grows best in your area and the soil type, Odipo Gerphas.”
The forum was interdisciplinary with participation from youth, social scientists, representatives from the civil society organizations and the general public.
